Man Forcibly Touches Girl, Attacks Officer At Mall On Long Island

A man has been apprehended after police say he forcibly touched a teenager and then attacked responding officers at a mall on Long Island.

At around 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, Police responded to a disturbance at Broadway Mall in Hicksville after receiving reports of an intoxicated male being aggressive towards the public. 

Upon arrival, officers approached Allan Nunez, age 30, of Bayville, who began attacking them, according to Nassau County Police. 

Nunez was violent and combative while resisting arrest, and an officer was injured.

He was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Nunez was also hospitalized.

Further investigation revealed that Nunez inappropriately grabbed and forcibly touched a 15-year-old girl while she walking around a multi-entertainment facility in the mall.

Nunez has been charged with:

  • Assault,
  • Forcible touching, 
  • Disorderly conduct, 
  • Endangering the welfare of a child, 
  • Obstructing governmental administration,
  • Harassment,
  • Resisting arrest. 

He was scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday, Oct. 26, at First District Court in Hempstead.
